If you are new on Fiverr, sending buyer requests is one of the easiest ways to land your first job. This article will teach you how to send an effective buyer request on Fiverr. 

Like Upwork, Fiverr’s buyer requests are sensitive. And if you don’t understand how they work, you can send a million buyer requests without getting a job. 

I’m damn serious!

My early days on Fiverr were frustrating. I would exhaust my daily request limit and still not land a job. 

It continued like this until my mentor taught me how to send an effective buyer request on Fiverr. 

Funny enough, I didn’t take the techniques he taught me seriously initially. 

But one day, I decided to try these techniques. 

Guess what? Two clients ordered my gig outrightly. 

Later that day, two other clients messaged me, discussed the nature of their job with me, and asked me to send a custom offer. 

Guys! That was how I grew my Fiverr account into a money making machine. 

Well! I stumbled upon these techniques in one of my laptop’s folders a few days ago. It reminded me of my early days on Fiverr and how we toiled for clients. 

And it dawned on me that several newbies may be experiencing similar challenges. 

So, that is why I want to teach you all how to send an effective buyer request on Fiverr. 

Taking the techniques learned in this article seriously will convert about 75% of buyer requests you send on Fiverr. 

How to Send an Effective Buyer Request on Fiverr

#1. Read and Understand the Job Requirements 

Sometimes, people are too haste to send buyer requests that they don’t even read the job requirements. 

Come on! If you don’t read the job requirements, how do you know what the clients want?

Some freelancers believe that the faster you send your request, the higher your chances of getting the job. 

But that is wrong. And even though other sellers are doing the same, you don’t have to jump on the bandwagon. 

Yes, the client may see several requests immediately. Yet, they only read a few. 

And the ones they will read are not some random generic requests. They will look for those unique and well crafted requests that address their needs. 

So, always take your time to understand what a client really wants before sending a request. 

Understanding your client’s requirements before sending a request stands you out from the crowd. And it increases your chances of getting the job.

#2. Think Beyond Templates 

If you want to learn how to send an effective buyer request on Fiverr, you must think beyond templates. 

Damn it! 

Templates can be very boring, monotonous, and generic. Yeah! I know people use templates because they want to send the requests as fast as they can. 

But the problem with sending a templated buyer request is that they lack in depth. 

And whoever is reading such a request will definitely know that you didn’t study the project’s requirements. 

Come to think of it though! How would you send the same request to hundreds of clients and expect them to hire you?

Guys! This was only possible during the early days of fiverr when the competition was very low. 

But not anymore. With so many sellers competing for the same job, you should be in depth with every request you are sending. 

Give analysis and point out your clients challenges. Don’t just point out challenges, explain how you will resolve these challenges when the client hires you. 

#3. Always Mention What Clients Stand to Benefits From Your Services 

Most sellers on fiverr talk so much about themselves that they don’t mention what their clients will benefit from their services. 

The truth is, your clients may not be interested in your educational qualification or experience. All they want to know is reassurance that you can solve their problems. 

And that is what you should be talking about in your buyer request.

Don’t be too desperate to get a job. When you price your services down, clients won’t take you seriously. 

They will feel that your service is poor or your skills are far below average. Contrary to what you may think, quoting a low price in your buyer request doesn’t automatically give you the job. 

Sometimes, it may even further reduce your chances of getting the job in the first place. 

So, be moderate with your pricing. Read the client requirements, understand what they need, and the level of work required. 

Thereafter you will have an idea of the perfect price for that project.
